Weekly Newsletter Special 200th Issue: Newsletter History & Astral Travels

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

I wrote the following for the special 200th issue of The Culture of Awareness Weekly Newsletter, which I offer for $11.11 a month.

Income from the newsletter helps me get by, and we could really use subscribers right now. Every subscription is appreciated (and needed right now).

The option to subscribe via PayPal (credit and debit cards accepted if you have a PayPal account) is given below. You can also send a check or cash (learn more here).

When it was first started, this was known as ‘The Aquarius Paradigm Weekly Newsletter’.

As many of you know, the reason for this was because my blog, now the Culture of Awareness, was called The Aquarius Paradigm when the newsletter began.

Before that, it was Aquarius Channelings and it was where I posted my channeled messages. Again, this was before I started to take writing seriously.

I’ve always written for the newsletter, but it used to be centered more on channelings as was the blog.

So why did I change it all?

When I first envisioned the Culture of Awareness, I envisioned your standard ‘conscious’ blog with truthful information and heartfelt op-eds about spirituality, society, politics, conspiracy and anything deemed relevant.

There are a few reasons.

One is that people naturally modify (or upgrade) certain aspects of their lifestyle, their beliefs or their work as time goes on, and another is that a newfound interest in writing sprung up right around the time I was feeling the urge to make a change.

Slow changes began to occur on the blog and the work I gave to the community. Aquarius Channelings became the Aquarius Paradigm, the newsletter started shortly after, and the Aquarius Paradigm eventually became the blog you know today.

When I first envisioned the Culture of Awareness, I envisioned your standard ‘conscious’ blog with truthful information and heartfelt op-eds about spirituality, society, politics, conspiracy and anything deemed relevant.

The plan was initially to write one article for the blog a day (which I still try to do but don’t always succeed) and to write about whatever interests me in one of the aforementioned topics. I learned that if you’re willing to do some research, there’s plenty to write about.

You just have to find the inspiration to address it all, and you could quickly find yourself awash in spiritual, political or conspiracy-related information that you can share with those who are also receptive to it.

This has been my experience, and even when I don’t have anything to write about, all it takes is some research to find a subject I could type away at for days.

Astral Travels

I don’t know how many of you have been with us since the beginning, but this ‘planetary healing’ segment didn’t always exist.

My interest in writing about blessing the planet led to an interest in writing about healing the planet (along with enlightenment and other spiritual topics often included in this segment) so I decided to change the segment’s theme.

In the newsletter’s early days, this was an ‘astral travel’ segment where I led guided imaginative ‘astral’ trips for subscribers. In the astral realm, we’d imagine and envision things, bless certain people, places and situations, and explore the potential for the imagination to connect us with these fascinating states of being.

The segment lasted a long time, but my interest in writing about blessing the planet led to an interest in writing about healing the planet (along with enlightenment and other spiritual topics often included in this segment) so I decided to change its theme.

Who knows; I could decide one day to change this segment again into something that fits whatever I’m feeling at the time. Change is always good, and if you feel you’ve reached the end of your rope with one thing, sometimes it helps to reach for something new.

I’d like to share some snippets from an ‘astral travel’ segment to give you a feel for what it was like. Some of you undoubtedly remember (and hopefully enjoyed) our imaginative adventures, and hopefully, those of you who never got the chance to read them will enjoy what I share here.

Subscribe to read the rest of the segment (along with the rest of the 200th issue):
