Story #5: Astral Adventures
I think our final story by Pat Pfeffer is the best of them all, because it describes in a heartwarming way a young child’s adventures in the astral realm.
As a child Pat explored the astral realm every night in his dreams, and his mother always thought he was a strange child because he was more than willing to go to bed every night. After you read his story, you won’t blame him.
His adventures at night were much more exciting than his daytime life, because he’d ‘literally take off’ as soon as he fell asleep. His adventures would begin after he fell asleep with him standing on the edge of his bed and ‘launching’ himself out his window before flying around and exploring any place he wanted.
He could travel long distances quickly and with ease, and he would often soar over rooftops looking down at the world (probably with amazement). He would sometimes land and try to mingle with the people that were there, but they all spoke a foreign language and he was usually alone anyway.
Sometimes a cat would accompany him on his journeys, and sometimes, a dove would be perched on his shoulder as he traveled. He would often hear ‘gorgeous ethereal music’ during his adventures.
The people who spoke the strange language couldn’t see him – a fact he repeatedly tested until it was undeniable. Understandably, his favorite thing to do was travel vast distances by flying. His senses were heightened, and the only downside was that he could never figure out how he returned to his body every morning.
Since he could tell when he was about to return by the low energy he would feel when the trip was almost over, one night he took the opportunity to see if he could remember returning to his body. The night he tried to remember, he felt heavy as he was flying over a wooded area and he discovered a construction site.
A ‘huge masonry building’ was being constructed, and as he settled into the unfinished building, he wondered what would happen next. He didn’t end up remembering how he came back, but he continued to enjoy his journeys and he never gave up his search for truth.
Years later as an adult, he showed up to a spiritual study group meeting that was postponed because of bad weather. He and a few others had already shown up before the postponement, and since one of them was a hypnotherapist and they were already there, they decided to try an experiment.
The goal was for Pat to ‘pay an astral visit’ to his parents in Florida and report what he saw. Afterward, he would call his parents for confirmation of what he witnessed without telling them about the experiment.
Once he was induced into deep hypnosis, he was able to leave his body and travel down the east coast, avoiding the nasty weather, and arrive at his parents’ house in Florida. He saw that his aunt and uncle were visiting, and his uncle had a cane leaning against the side of his chair. This was odd because he never knew his uncle to use a cane.
They’d just finished dinner, and his father was watching TV with their guests while his mom did the dishes. He tried to get their attention by going to such extents as pulling his mother’s dish towel as she was holding it, but every attempt failed.
His mother verified everything he saw when he called her later. Again, he didn’t tell her about the experiment; he simply asked what they were doing at the time. His mother told him his uncle had sprained his ankle and temporarily needed a cane, which explained why Pat saw him with one.
After all of his experiences, Pat firmly believes there is more to life than what we see around us.
Conclusion
If there’s anything we can take from these stories, it’s that speculators the world over could be correct in thinking there is an ‘other side’ we can connect with through meditation, dreaming, and apparently through rare and bizarre experiences that catapult us into it.
I’d love to believe there’s nothing but sunshine and good vibes on the other side, because I’m more interested in higher states of consciousness than lower. However, I’d rather be aware of every aspect of the non-physical world than sugarcoat my research or what I share just to fit my personal preference for something uplifting.
You shouldn’t let the horror stories convince you not to be open to the other side, but if you are open to it, be aware of how you explore it and what you let into your space. Being aware of the darkness on the other side can enhance your awareness of the light by helping you realize that the two are actually one and the same.
You can find plenty more positive OBE stories on the internet (you probably won’t find too many positive sleep paralysis stories), and if you’re really hungry for knowledge about life after death, I recommend Dr. Eben Alexander’s book Proof of Heaven.
I’ll continue to search for reports and personal experiences that anecdotally validate life after death and higher states of consciousness, because this is a fascinating subject that opens the mind to new potential realities and I know I’m not the only one interested in it.
There’s a lot to learn out there (and within), and despite the negative meditation story shared earlier, I recommend meditation or anything that can help you reach that space.
Even if reading these experiences is enough to open your mind, I highly recommend it. I’m sure we’ll learn some pretty amazing things as the years go on, and if you want to learn as much as you can about the other side right now, OBEs as well as sleep paralysis are great subjects to start you off.

I once (1982/83) found myself as a spark in the Rings of Saturn. (At least that is what it felt like.) I have a suicidal personality, and have wanted out. I finally figured out that it wasn’t my time to leave, and I could permanently harm myself, but I couldn’t leave yet.
This was my chance to see what consciousness is like without a body or the people/things we love. I existed, but there was nothing. I didn’t get the life review, but I did contemplate what it would be like to spend eternity there. It was lonely, very lonely. Eventually, a string got caught on my toe, and I was back in my body. Having a light turn on also helps.
God is also the void. It depends on the light (emotion) that we put into the void as to what comes out. The cabal knows how to create evil in the void by not allowing enough light (love) into their emotions that create their desires.
I think Louise R. was given the same lesson. She was given a life review and allowed to see her mistakes. I would be willing to bet she watches her options much closer. She was not harmed, and did come back to her body. Even though it was unnerving, it wasn’t a negative experience. She could have had a car crash and wake up from a coma with body parts to heal. God wanted to talk to her, and that is what she saw.
