Wisdom with Wes: Beliefs and Action

Snapshot_20140731_2Our beliefs don’t matter as much as the things they inspire us to do, and we can believe the greatest, most enlightened concepts and still fail in the areas of life they’re meant to inspire us to succeed at.

As long as we can show love and kindness to others, our beliefs don’t have to mean much. Most people don’t know that love is basically at the heart of every religion, and every genuine spiritual teacher has told us the same thing: love ourselves and each other.

Let our love flow to every sentient creature around us, and put no borders or expectations around it.

This is all we really need to do, and it’s a great secret that a lot of us seem to have forgotten as we cherished beliefs over action. Don’t get me wrong – some people are driven by their beliefs to do really wonderful things, and others are led to do awful things in the name of whatever philosophy they support.

The point is that we’ve put too much focus on external beliefs, and I think they’re all meant to lead us back to the sustainment of love, harmony and elevated spiritual awareness. This was the original intent of almost every belief system, and we can skip beliefs altogether and head straight for the source of it all.

If we do, we might just find the Source of our own consciousness; our own existence. Seeking love is the best way to seek our creator, and instead of creating rigid beliefs around Source that we let shape our behavior, let’s drop it all and simply love each other, in harmony and acceptance.

Will you embrace love (and the awareness that comes with it) today?

Stay aware!

Wes Annac ❤
