There are going to be days when we don’t feel very uplifted or willing to jump into our work, and these days can only bring us down if we let them. As long as we can remember to make sure spirit’s a consistent part of our day, there’s nothing wrong with resting when the need sets in.
Our bodies often attempt to communicate with us and give us signs that point to the best things we can do to keep them nourished, and sometimes, they use tiredness or fatigue to let us know that they require a little bit of rest. After we give our bodies the rest they/we need, we can jump back into our work with more enthusiasm than we had before.
We don’t gain anything when we force our creativity or our spirituality, and that’s exactly what we do when we try to complete our work from a fatigued or exhausted space. Instead of pushing ourselves, we can recognize that dialing it back a bit is sometimes required for us to eventually approach our work with enthusiasm.
How do you choose to treat your body today?
