Update: We’ve just scheduled our inspection, and it’s happening tomorrow morning. If we pass it, we’ll be able to start moving in tomorrow, but if not, we’ll have to fix whatever they tell us is remaining and opt for another inspection another time soon. We’re pretty sure we’re going to pass, and as you can probably imagine, we’re pretty excited!

I wanted to let you all know that we have one final thing to get done with our new house, which we plan to have done tomorrow, before we can call to get the inspection that’ll enable us to start moving in if we pass. It’s been a long road, but we’re basically at the end of it!

There’s no guarantee that we’ll pass the inspection the first time, but as long as we get the last thing done tomorrow, we’re pretty confident that we’ll meet the town’s standards. We followed the guidelines we were given, and if everything goes right, there’s a chance that we could start moving in within the week.

Of course, that isn’t guaranteed either, but it’s amazing to think that it could actually happen! After so long of repairing our home, the finish line is finally in sight and my family and I can turn our attention to what life on our own will be like. We couldn’t have gotten this far without the love and support of you, the readers, and you have our eternal appreciation.

We’re getting more excited with each day that passes, and we’ll continue to give updates as they become available.
