A Note on Email Subscriptions

Friends,

In regards to subscribing to email updates from this website, I would advise you to really know what you’re signing up for. I try to make it a point to post as much information as possible on a day to day basis so as to help inform, and a lot of emails are sent out every day from this website to those who consent to an email subscription.

There is a note above the subscription button that reads:

NOTE: Please keep the confirmation email you will receive upon subscribing, because it contains the “unsubscribe” option. We cannot be responsible for everybody’s email subscriptions, and a lot of emails are sent out everyday. We must ask everyone to be personally responsible for subscribing and managing the many updates you will receive. Thanks!!

I would also like to make a few important pointers to anybody who is considering subscribing to our email updates:

1. It is vital to keep the confirmation email you receive upon making the choice to subscribe. That email gives you the option to unsubscribe, if the piles of emails become a bit too much to handle.

2. You can indeed unsubscribe yourself, and the option to do so is available at the bottom of each email sent out by this website. If you are one who wishes to unsubscribe from updates, you can do so via an option given at the bottom of every email.

3. (I’ll have to repeat this) A lot of emails are sent out every day. If you don’t feel you can handle a potential flood of emails, you don’t have to subscribe!

4. This is probably the most important one – The moderator of this website (being me) cannot unsubscribe you for you, or take you off of an email list that you consented to subscribing to. With all due respect, dear friends – I did not add you to the email list and am busy enough with everyday matters and work. I am happy to assist anybody who needs to know how to unsubscribe, but the repeated comments and emails (some more hateful than others) reading UNSUBSCRIBE ME NOW will not do you nor me any good, especially if the comment is left and never looked-at again to see if a response was given by me.

Some may not agree with what I’m about to say but respectfully, I don’t feel I should be responsible for unsubscribing somebody from something they chose to be responsible for, nor do I have the capacity to as this blog is hosted by WordPress.com, which uses Feedburner for email subscriptions. At the same time, I have looked into it many times over and if there was a way for me to be able to (or if there is that I haven’t yet discovered) I would and will happily offer the service of unsubscribing you myself. Feedburner’s settings seem to be set the way they are but again, they do offer a few ways to unsubscribe so that no subscribers are stuck with a continual barrage of emails they can do nothing about.

I feel I have to write this so that I can point any tired subscribers who wish me to remove them, to it. I do apologize for my inability to unsubscribe people from email updates myself but at the same time, I am only offering the subscriptions because there seem to be a lot who appreciate them. The emails are your choice entirely to subscribe to or unsubscribe from, but you’re only asked to be responsible for your own actions in subscribing to them.

Much Love friends!

Wes 🙂

  2. For every ‘annoyed’ person who sends you upsetting emails, there are many of us who say thank you, thank you and blessings on your commitment to assist in the light. I consider this a love blast every day and simply delete that which I do not need! Love, light and peace to all.

  3. Dear Wes just your blogs alone are priceless let alone all the rest of the info you so diligently supply to all who subscribe. Having 20 years nursing experience of unconditional love working some 70 hours a week and having educated many hundreds to varying degrees you have continuously more than impressed me as someone as young as yourself can teach so well. Take heart my friend that there are many of us who deeply appreciate the commitment you have to helping so many. Love and Light Dave

  4. I love your stuff. I call them my “love letters.” Don’t be discouraged. You’re GREAT!! And thank you for doing the research to bring me so many varied subjects. I like that a lot. You save me a lot of time (which, of course, doesn’t exist or at least is shortening every day. LOL!) Love to you and your family and I wish you well on your move!

  5. I agree with the rest of them in I THANK YOU for all the work you have done for us. Most of us know that you don’t HAVE TO do this for us and SHAME on ANYONE who thinks it is your responsibility to unsubscribe FOR them!!! It is amazing how people blame everything on everyone else and take no responsibility for themselves! PLEASE continue with what you do for us and don’t let the turkeys get you down! ❤ 🙂

  6. Might be worth pointing out that a person can also click on Manage Subscriptions and change to Digest form, which is what I do, in which no matter how many individual emails go out, they are all rolled up into one message per day.
