Target is changing their marketing strategy. Now they will be targeting wholesome good things for your body and peace of mind.
Marketing strategy is directed at emotional and impulse buyers.
Bold packaging for kid cereal is placed on the middle shelf at their eye level, just like candy is available at the checkout stand.
But Target is getting more into the grocery game in recent years and in doing so, is stirring things up.
Stirring Up Change
CEO Brian Cornell, who was hired by Target in August 2014 to boost sales, developed a strategy that promotes and focuses on a health-food approach as opposed to your standard pre-packaged, mass-produced food.

It shows just how enticing the marketing has been and exactly why Cornell wants to change the way Target has been shelving products.
