A victim-less crime, the right to smoke weed has lit up the stage across the U.S. in recent months. Now Bill Maher is lighting up on his stage in support of legalization.

It is no secret that Bill Maher is a relentless advocate of marijuana legalization.  On Friday, in a segment called “New Rules” on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, he made his case for legalization.

“We still don’t have a politician that will say, “legalize it, nationally… period.”

The real issue?  Why won’t they pass legalization?  .. “They stand to loose lots of money.  The war on drugs provides millions to law enforcement and the judicial system.”

Maher shared some very clear logic showing how convoluted the political conversation is on the topic of legalization… then he lit up a joint in protest. Watch the video… (7:04 min)

“People who use medical marijuana cannot use their medicine in other states where it is not legal”… and that is rather a sad reflection on the policies of states that refuse to recognize the real medicinal qualities of cannibus.

“It’s not a tenable situation. When I leave Colorado, Oregon, Washington or Alaska, my back pain doesn’t go away. Or whatever it is I have. I’m kidding — I use medical marijuana because my third eye has glaucoma.” – Bill Maher

“Somehow, this is the year that everything from socialism to mass deportation is on the table and voters love the authentic guys who speak their minds, but when it comes time for Congress to consider common-sense pot legislation, it’s like smoking a joint with Woody Harrelson; they just won’t pass it!”

In the wake of so many people being served by the medicinal qualities of this natural plant, we hope to see a rise in states that approve legalization across the United States.
