Ralph Smart of Infinite Waters has hit the nail right on the head on this one. In his latest video, he provides another saner, more spiritual perspective of the riots in Baltimore.

According to Ralph, the media is playing us by framing a drama that emphasizes fear and conflict. But there are other stories behind the scenes.  Four touching ones that he shares are:

1) An African-American man stands in front of a police line in a protective stance, pushing rioters back and repeatedly saying, “Don’t give them a reason.”

2) An African-American woman passionately scolds her teenage son when she finds him participating in the riots.

3) African-Americans carrying large garbage cans cleaning up after the riots.

4) Caucasian Americans carrying signs of condolence for the parents of Freddie Gray.

The video of the mother scolding her son got quite a bit of mainstream media play, but only because she was slapping him, so it feeds into their usual fare of anger and violence. But the other images and their corresponding stories aren’t getting any play, because they don’t fit the narrative the mainstream media wants to spin.

Ralph invites you not to buy into the stories that are being created by the mainstream media; not to allow yourself to be played by them. He makes a great observation that the word “media” is quite close to the mythical figure “Medea” who’s head was full of snakes.

Race, says Ralph, is a man-made concept. You are not a race, but a multi-dimensional human being. If you identify with being a particular color or race, you then have an “me versus them” mentality.

Conflict and violence are old school.

Now, is the time to educate yourself and cultivate wisdom and to see yourself as the unlimited spiritual being that you are.

Right now on this shrinking planet, more than ever, we need harmony, peace, and most of all LOVE.
