I think just about everyone who reads this website probably thinks the war on drugs needs to come to an end, but why? Does it do more harm than good? Is it pointless?

This TED Talk is rather bold and impassioned, particularly for a TED Talk. Drug reformist Ethan Nadelmann makes a moving plea to end the “Backwards, heartless, disastrous”movement to stamp out the drug trade – drugs that have been banned that no one even uses. He wants us to regulate drugs intelligent instead. Why?
