Wisdom with Wes: Creative Patience

Snapshot_20140731_2If there’s a skill we aren’t very good at that we want to master, we’ll have to accept that a lot of time, work and patience will be involved. As great as it sounds, we can’t instantly master the talents we want to, and sometimes, we have to work hard to claim what we want in life.

It’ll be important to remember to enjoy ourselves along the way, and if we don’t enjoy developing our talent, then it might not be for us. A sure sign of a talent being ‘right’ for us is when we can consistently practice it and enjoy ourselves the whole time – even when things aren’t going the way we’d prefer.

We’ll inevitably meet difficulty when it comes to mastering any skill, and we might have to take the good with the bad if we want to successfully master something without becoming habitually negative when we seem to meet a brick wall. Open-mindedness will take us further than most people think, and the ability to be patient when we don’t feel like we’ve made any progress will help significantly.

As long as we’re in it for the long haul and willing to be patient, we can master any talent we become passionate about. We’ll just have to work hard and have as much fun as we can while we work, and things will fall into place when we’re dedicated and completely unwilling to give up.

Will you dedicate yourself to your passions today?
