Compassion is desperately missing from our evolving planet, and we’ll have to change this if we want to change the planet. We all know by now that we’ll have to be the change we want to see, and I think an important part of doing this is learning to express love and compassion to others.
Compassion and selflessness go hand-in-hand.
When we empty ourselves of the ego, we gravitate toward others in a big way. We begin to care about the plight of others instead of thinking solely about ourselves, and the inner love we start to feel enables us to be compassionate when we could otherwise care little about the things people around us are going through.
A lot of seekers are very empathic to the trials and challenges of others, and their empathy’s a gift and a curse at the same time.
It’s a gift because it allows them to open up and connect with people in a pure way, and it’s a curse because it enables them to feel the deepest inner pain others feel, which can obviously weigh on their spirit and their sense of love and wellbeing.
I‘m not necessarily saying we should let our compassion and empathy overflow, but I do think we should express them in a healthy and balanced way. When we open up to our endless abilities to be compassionate to the plight of others, we enable ourselves to start really serving humanity; to start really helping this planet.
Even though a lot of bold and undeniable changes need made, the best change we can each make will have to come from within. One of these changes will have to be to the manner in which we treat others, and if we want our planet to change, we’ll have to help others find a sense of love and enjoyment when they could otherwise continue to be down in the dumps.
In order to change this planet, we’ll have to really transcend the ego and all of its mechanisms. The ego will teach us only to care about ourselves, whereas the opening and expanding heart, where we’ll find our compassion and empathy, will teach us to care much more about others than we do our own wants and needs.
We won’t completely quit thinking about ourselves or our desires, and it’s always good to serve ourselves in a healthy and balanced way. However, we’ll transcend our endless wants in favor of an open-minded and openhearted desire to help others find the love that seems so desperately missing from our society.
With the immense abilities most of us have to be conduits for the love and compassion others require to thrive, we have little reason not to offer ourselves in service to those who require a little bit of compassion; an open ear for them to express their pains and difficulties to.
It pays to have a sense of compassion in this difficult world, and if we don’t, nobody will. We can’t expect the rest of the world to open up to compassion if we haven’t opened up to it ourselves, and we have an enormous opportunity to change the planet by simply being there for others.
Everyone can use compassion right now. Those of us who are awake and aware of spirit but tend to have difficulty navigating this difficult earthly experience aren’t the only ones who sometimes need a voice to listen to or an ear to listen to us – the rest of the planet needs it too.
In fact, even though we experience low moments just like the rest of the world, our awareness of spirit gives us a technical advantage.
We have a belief system to turn to that helps us navigate the difficulties and stresses we face, but a lot of other people don’t have this. Most other people turn to materiality or consumerism to dull the pain that comes with existing on earth, and sooner or later, they’ll find that these pursuits just aren’t working for them.
When they do, they may turn to spirituality or something similar to help them through their stress and pain, and we can be there for them if we’re willing.
If we’re open and willing, we can do practically anything. I’ve said plenty of times that we’re as infinite as we’re willing to believe we are, and when our minds are open and our hearts are filled to the brim with loving energy and insight, we can easily lend an ear to others and maybe even help them become aware of spirit.
We don’t necessarily need to help others by ‘educating’ them about our beliefs, though, and sometimes, all people require is someone with an open mind and heart to listen to their problems. What people are really in need of is love, and we can help them find it by letting them chat our ears off if needed and expressing as much compassion and empathy as we can muster up.
Again, we don’t want to express too much, because we could overwhelm ourselves with emotion if we do, but there’s nothing wrong with expressing a great deal of compassion to those who are clearly having trouble. We all experience low moments, and being open about them is more important than most people realize.
If we’re open with others, we’ll find that they’re open with us when their time comes to pour their pain and stress into someone who can be compassionate and empathic, and as long as we’re there for them, they’ll be there for us.
We live on a world that’s in need of revolutionary changes that’ll completely transform our society and our collective perception, but we can’t anchor this new world until we’ve come together and we’re comfortable talking with each other without the social barriers that keep us divided.
Humanity’s meant to operate as one collective entity, and the more compassion we show to those around us, the easier it’ll be for the rest of the planet to do the same in due time.
As long as our egos are out of the way and our hearts are filled to the brim with love, humanity will come together and collectively express this love to every other facet of consciousness that’s in need of upliftment. Upliftment will come, but we have to create it by being there for others when we could think about ourselves or our own wants/desires instead.
The time has come to open up and express far more love and compassion than we have so far, and the rest of the world will eventually thank those of us who are able to do this. They’ll recognize that our actions helped changed things, and many of them will live by the example we set and express an overflowing amount of compassion to those around them.
