The Here and Now
In awe and amazement I find myself standing on a vast plain in twilight. The earth is alive and the universe beyond the curvature of the horizons is shimmering. There is no time. There is only me, standing still, looking around. Emptiness as far as the eye can see. It is not threatening, there is no loneliness. There is nothing. And that is all there is. All that space… There is room for anyone and everything, and I understand, that I am facing my next … here and now moment.
I know that I am the sum of all the here and now moments that have passed and realize how futile it is to look back into the past. I ám the past. I am the latest, updated version of the story that is me. And not only that …. I ám the future too. In the moment I am now facing – where there is nothing – I will take the next step and bring my world to life. Step by step.
So, indeed, there is no past, no future … nothing like that, on that vast plain all around me.
Well, I don´t have to look back anymore. And I am not living future moments any longer. It becomes easier every day to push those away. They are a distraction of what is really going on.
You can dream up a world ahead … but I am convinced it is better to dream real-time and much, much more effective.
With love, Just Meijer
